Draft — not final. These guidelines describe the community we intend to build. They're pending legal review and will evolve with member feedback before and after launch, but the underlying values — health, authenticity, and respect — won't change.
1. Our values
Fit Together exists to connect people through health, movement, discipline, and real-world activity. Every guideline below exists to protect that promise: health, authenticity, discipline, positive energy, accountability, safety, respect, simplicity, real-world connection, and personal growth.
2. Be authentic
- Use your real name and recent, unedited photos that represent how you currently look.
- Complete selfie/liveness verification honestly — don't use someone else's photo or identity.
- Be truthful about your activity level, goals, and what you're looking for (partner, dating, or both).
- Don't create multiple accounts or impersonate another person, business, or public figure.
3. Be respectful
- Treat every member the way you'd want to be treated at your own gym, trail, or studio.
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, or discriminatory behavior toward any member.
- Take "no" for an answer. Repeated unwanted contact after someone has declined or blocked you is not allowed.
- Respect the intent someone has selected — don't push Dating conversations on someone who selected Fitness Partner only.
4. Keep content healthy & appropriate
- Share workout, activity, and healthy-lifestyle content — fitness should be the hero, not follower counts.
- No nudity, sexually explicit content, or content that sexualizes fitness or another member without consent.
- No promotion of disordered eating, dangerous training practices, or unregulated supplements/substances.
- No spam, commercial solicitation, or unauthorized advertising in profiles, posts, or messages.
5. Protect privacy & location
- Never share another member's exact location, home address, or personal information without consent.
- Don't use Active Now or check-in features to track, follow, or monitor someone.
- Suggest public, populated venues for first meetups — gyms, parks, courts, trails, and studios — rather than private addresses.
- Respect a member's chosen visibility settings; don't attempt to circumvent them.
6. Meet up safely
- Meet for the first time in a public, active location, ideally one with staff or other people around.
- Tell a friend or family member where you're going and who you're meeting.
- Trust your instincts — you can end a check-in, leave a meetup, or cancel a connection at any time, no explanation required.
- Report anything that feels off, even if you're not sure it violates a specific rule.
7. Reporting & enforcement
Every profile, check-in, and conversation includes one-tap Block and Report controls. Reports are reviewed using a combination of automated signals and human moderation. Depending on severity, we may warn, temporarily suspend, or permanently remove an account, and may remove violating content. Safety-related reports (harassment, threats, unsafe behavior) are prioritized.
8. Zero tolerance
Some behavior results in immediate account removal, including but not limited to: sexual content involving minors, threats of violence, sexual assault or coercion, impersonation for fraud, and repeated harassment after a warning.
9. These guidelines will evolve
As we learn from our founding members in Dallas–Fort Worth and expand city by city, we'll refine these guidelines — always in the direction of a safer, healthier, more authentic community.
